Application competition 2022 closed

Today the application for the YPF European Piano Competition 2022 closed. We are very thankful to all the young talented pianists who applied for the first European edition of the YPF Piano Competition!
We are not only thankful but also very excited… coming weeks the pre-selection jury will review all the pre-selection videos and decides which 24 participants will participate in the competition days in Amsterdam (10 – 20 February 2022, in both the Bimhuis as well as in Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ). The announcement of the participants who will continue will be made early December 2021.
Do you, the public, want to be part of the challenge that the young talents will take up in February? Come to the competition days in the Bimhuis (10-16 February, free admission) and / or buy tickets for the finals on Sunday 20 February (14:15 hrs) in Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ. It definitely will be a very special afternoon in which the finalists, under the critical and watchful eye of the international jury, will be accompanied by PHION, Orkest van Gelderland & Overijssel conducted by Antony Hermus. And moreover, the world premiere of the piece composed by Reza Namavar commissioned by the YPF, called Ti’afa’a, takes place! Be part of it and order tickets via this link.
And if you want to fully immerse yourself into the competition, you can also sign up as a host family for one of our European talents. More information about host families can be found here.
