Abel Hox Abel Hox (1998, Netherlands) began playing the piano at the age of eight under the guidance of his father. At thirteen, he was admitted to the School for Young Talent at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague, where he studied with Kamilla Bystrova. Abel has performed on various stages both nationally and internationally and has participated in masterclasses with renowned pianists such as Naum Grubert, Igor Roma, Severin von Eckardstein, Ronald Brautigam, and Richard Egarr. He continued his studies with Ellen Corver at the Royal Conservatoire, graduating cum laude in 2022. Currently, Abel is studying at the prestigious Academia ‘Incontri con il Maestro’ in Imola (Italy) under Enrico Pace and Andre Gallo. Starting in September 2024, he will further his musical development as an Artist in Residence at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel in Waterloo (Belgium), where he will study with Avedis Kouyoumdjan. This program is made possible by a contribution from the Clara Haskil Fund. Abel has a broad musical interest, with a deep connection to the works of Bach, Beethoven, and Schubert.
