Alexander Jansen

Alexander Jansen (2005, Netherlands) began piano lessons at the age of seven with his mother, piano teacher E. Jansen. By the age of ten Alexander began performing in public, giving concerts in France, Belgium, Germany, and the Netherlands. He studied under teacher Marjès Benoist at the Academie Muzikaal Talent at the Conservatorium Utrecht, and since 2021, he has been studying with pianist and composer Thomas Beijer. Currently, Alexander is pursuing studies in piano and composition at the Conservatorium Amsterdam and Antwerp, under the guidance of Frank van de Laar and composer Willem Jeths. Since 2021, he has also been a student of professor Sergei Edelmann. In March 2022, Alexander was personally selected by world-renowned pianist Lang Lang to join the Lang Lang Scholarship for young pianists. He has won multiple prizes in national and international piano and composition competitions. Alexander has performed in prestigious concert halls in The Netherlands and abroad. He has also performed at renowned festivals. Additionally, Alexander has had the opportunity to perform with the Netherlands Radio Orchestra, the Concertgebouw Chamber Orchestra, the Netherlands Wind Ensemble, and the Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra.
