Bettino Weisser

Bettino Weisser (Amsterdam, 2004) started playing piano at the age of 4 and has obtained three diplomas from the national EPTA piano exams. Since August 2016 he has been studying piano with Marlies van Gent at the School voor Jong Talent of the Koninklijk Conservatorium in The Hague, and followed masterclasses in 2017 and 2018 at the Imola Summer Piano Academy with Marlies van Gent, Enrico Pace and Roberto Giordano. In 2017 and 2018 Bettino was selected for the semi-finals of Het Koninklijk Concertgebouw Concours and he performed twice in the Kleine Zaal of Het Concertgebouw. He has also performed during festivals such as Festival Klassiek at the Amstelveld (2017) in Amsterdam and Festival Dag in de Branding as part of the Sofia Goebaidoelina Festival (2018) in The Hague. He has also played in De Kapel in Bloemendaal and participated in the Steinway Pianoconcours (2018). In addition to his piano study, he also studies conducting at the School voor Jong Talent of the Koninklijk Conservatorium with Alex Schillings. At a young age he also sang in the Nieuw Amsterdams Kinderkoor and the Nationaal Jongenskoor and performed solo in music theatre works. Bettino combines his studies at the conservatory with the Vossius Gymnasium in Amsterdam.
