Carmen Sánchez Labrador

Carmen Sánchez Labrador (2002, Spain) began playing the piano at the age of four. At seven, she was admitted to the Arturo Soria Conservatorio Profesional de Música, where she continued her studies until 2018, when she was accepted into the Purcell School of Music in London. After two years at Purcell, Carmen was accepted into the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where she is currently studying under the guidance of David Kuyken.

Carmen has performed in prestigious venues such as the Auditorio Nacional de Madrid, Wigmore Hall, Southbank Centre, and Milton Court, both as a soloist and in chamber music ensembles. She received masterclasses from internationally renowned pianists such as Eldar Nebolsin, Boris Berman, James Giles, Artur Pizarro, Nino Kereselidze, Alexander Kandelaki, Aleksandar Madžar, and Jun Kanno. Among her many recognitions, Carmen won the First Prize at the EPTA Spain Piano Competition and was a semifinalist at the Princess Christina Concours in 2022. She has also won internal competitions at both the Purcell School and Arturo Soria Conservatorio. Recently, she performed as a soloist with the Conservatorium van Amsterdam Orchestra in the Philharmonie in Haarlem.
