Gorka Plada Gorka Plada (2002, Spain) began his musical studies independently before receiving private lessons from Maria Jesús Durán. Gorka was later accepted into the prestigious Yehudi Menuhin School in England, where he studied under Marcel Baudet. Currently, he is completing his master’s degree at the HfM Hanns Eisler in Berlin under the guidance of Eldar Nebolsin. Gorka has performed in renowned venues such as the chamber halls of the Berliner Philharmoniker and the Concertgebouw, The Muth in Vienna, and the Budapest Music Centre, where he recently performed in the presence of composer György Kurtág. He has participated in esteemed festivals like IMS Prussia Cove and The Cliburn Junior and received guidance from leading musicians such as András Schiff, Claudio Martínez Mehner, and Robert Levin. Gorka has won awards in competitions including Maria Canals, Enschede, and the Beethoven Intercollegiate, and in 2023, he was honored with the Steinway Förderpreis in Berlin for one of his recitals. In 2025, Gorka will serve as a curator and performer with the campus ensemble of the Heidelberger Frühling festival.
