Jan Cmejla Jan Cmejla (2003, Czech Republic) began his musical studies at the Prague Conservatory, where he studied under Prof. Eva Boguniová from 2018 to 2022. Since 2022, he has been continuing his education at the University of Music and Performing Arts Mannheim with Prof. Wolfram Schmitt-Leonardy. Jan has participated in prestigious masterclasses with renowned musicians such as Boris Giltburg (2021), Lang Lang (2015), and Gautier Capuçon (2024, Schloss Elmau), where he performed Mendelssohn’s Trio in D minor. A highly accomplished pianist, he has won first prizes at several international competitions, including the Concours International de Piano d’Epinal (2022), the Concours Concertino Praga (2019), the Santa Cecilia Competition (2021), and the Kern Foundation Prize (2021). Jan has performed at esteemed venues such as the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., the Rudolfinum in Prague, and the Alliance Hall in Hong Kong.
