BIOGRAPHY

Maxime Snaterse (Almelo, 1996) is currently following the Master of Music program at the ArtEZ Conservatorium with Frank van de Laar, after graduating with her bachelor’s degree cum laude here in 2018. Maxime has won several prizes at, among others, the Prinses Christina Concours and the Steinway Pianoconours. She was also one of the nominees for the Vrienden Cultuur Prijs in Tilburg and she represented the ArtEZ Conservatorium during the Grachtenfestival Conservatorium Concours. Maxime has followed masterclasses with famous pianists such as Juris Zvikovs, Håkon Austbø, Andrea Lucchesini (at the International Mozarteum Sommerakademie Salzburg) and Bernd Goetzke (during The International Holland Music Sessions). In addition, she has performed in both the Netherlands and abroad such as in the Megaron Concert Hall (Thessaloniki, Greece) and for the Dutch Embassy (Athens) at the invitation of the Prinses Christina Concours. Recently, Maxime played with the ArtEZ Symphony Orchestra conducted by Joost Smeets. Besides playing with orchestras, she has also played in many different ensembles. She won first prize and audience award with her Majorah Trio during the ArtEZ Chamber Music Sessions and with her song duo the SCANDO Vocallis Liedprijs. She participated in the Jonge Meesters Wilp program and in addition to her conservatory education she is studying Technical Business Administration at the University of Twente.
