Noora Ylönen

Noora Ylönen (1995, Finland) is currently doing her second Master’s degree in Folkwang Universität Der Künste under the guidance of Prof. Henri Sigfridsson. Earlier she has studied at the Sibelius Academy, under the tutelage of Antti Hotti, Valeria Resjan and Jussi Siirala. And also at the Universität Der Künste Berlin with Prof. Lucas Blondeel.
Noora has participated in numerous masterclasses for example of Paavali Jumppanen, Victor Rosenbaum, Eldar Nebolsin, Claudio Martinez Mehner, Konstantin Bogino, Eero Heinonen, Björn Lehmann and Liisa Pohjola.
Noora has performed as a solo pianist and chamber musician around Finland, in Germany, Italy, Austria and Poland. She has performed for example in SE-festival in Helsinki, Mänttä Music festival, Kuhmo chamber music festival, in Särestö Chamber concert series in Levi and the XVI ensemble festival in Poland.
Noora was chosen to perform in Musikverain, Vienna, in a concert of Finnish chamber music, where she performed a trio for Viola, Clarinet and Piano by Kalevi Aho. She has also gotten the opportunity to play Schumann’s piano concerto with the Turku Philharmonic orchestra in a conducting course of Jorma Panula.
In 2018 Noora was one of the award winners in Helmi Vesa -piano competition, organized by the Sibelius-Academy. She has been sponsored by the Finnish Culture Foundation, Pro Music Foundation, Wihuri Foundation, Wegelius Foundation and the Sibelius-Academy foundation.
