Paul Broek (Ede, 1991) started playing the piano at the age of seven. He took lessons with Roland Aalbers until he passed his exams in high school. Since 2010 he has been taking lessons with Henry Kelder, at the Conservatorium van Utrecht. In addition to a bachelor’s degree in piano, he studied Econometrics at the Universiteit van Amsterdam, where he graduated in 2015. Paul plays in various ensembles and performs various forms of chamber music. In 2015 he participated in the International Student Lied Competition (Enschede). In 2016 he graduated summa cum laude with honours for his bachelor’s exams. Shortly thereafter, Paul received the Emir Steyerberg award for the best final exams.
