Pavel Tesík

Pavel Těšík (1996, Czech Republic) studied piano at the Pavel Josef Vejvanovský Conservatory in Kroměříž with Ondřej Hubáček. Then he continued his studies at the Janáček Academy of Performing Arts in Brno with prof. Jan Jiraský and doc. Igor Ardašev. He spent a semester at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz studying with prof. Ayami Ikeba in the third academic year. He graduated with master’s degree in 2021 and recently works as piano teacher and accompanist at the Brno Conservatory.

Pavel is a laureate of several piano competitions – e.g. International Competition Pro Bohemia (Ostrava, 2013 – 1st prize and absolute winner), European Grand Prize Of Music
‘Mendelssohn Cup’ (Taurisano, 2012 – 2nd prize) and International Piano Competition ‘Mozart’ Frascati (Roma, 2016 – 3rd prize). He participated at masterclasses of renowned pianists, e.g. Vera Nosina (Russia), Azra Medić (Bosnia), Jonathan Powell (UK) and Håkon Austbø (Norway).

He played as a soloist with the Janáček Academy Orchestra in Brno and with the Moravian Philharmonic in Olomouc. Besides giving solo recitals Pavel is also active chamber music player with focus on repertoire for piano duo and ensembles with string instruments.
