BIOGRAPHY

Yiyuan Chen (Xi’an, 2002) was born in China. At the age of nine he started playing the piano. In 2014 he moved with his parents to the Netherlands. He now lives in Leiden, attends the Stedelijk Gymnasium and receives piano lessons from Andrew Wright. Yiyuan loves sports and he plays badminton. He also has a great interest in mathematics and physics and especially in quantum physics. His greatest passion, however, is the piano. In 2018 he took part in the International Steinway Pianoconcours and continued to the semi-finals. Yiyuan was also one of the finalists of the Prinses Christina Concours.
