The Young Pianist Foundation (YPF) is the only strictly privately funded organization in the Netherlands that actively supports young piano talent in their development to the international top. Founded in 1999 by pianist and piano pedagogue Marcel Baudet, the YPF organizes the YPF Piano Competition, the most prominent piano competition in our country for young talent up to 28 years, every three years. Moreover, the YPF actively assists young talented pianists with pedagogical programs, in addition to their regular education.

As a result, many young, well-known pianists – such as Nino Gvetadze, Thomas Beijer, Daniël van der Hoeven, Rosalía Gómez Lasheras and Ramon van Engelenhoven – could benefit from the YPF’s targeted approach. The YPF wishes to continue these valuable programs with support by you!

How can you actively support the Young Pianist Foundation?

There are different ways for joining the circle of piano enthusiasts of the YPF:

Become a Friend

Your annual support gives the young musicians and the organization more scope. The YPF has been designated as a cultural ANBI (public benefit institution). Supporting a cultural ANBI as a private person or as a company may be interesting tax wise. As a private person you may increase your gift with 25% with regard to tax deduction. Companies may increase the deduction of their gift by 50% in corporation tax.
