01Jan By Adrian de GroenSat 22 January 2022Concours The YPF European Piano Competition 2022 is about to start! While at the beginning of the pandemic we still thought that ‘our’ competition would be in no danger, in recent months that suddenly turned out to be a naive assumption. The virus and the measures still threatened to throw a spanner in the works… However, it is with relief and joy that we can inform you that the first European edition of the YPF Piano Competition – Grand Prix Youri Egorov will really start on February 10, 2022! We will receive the 24 participants and the members of the international jury from 10 to 20 February in Amsterdam, in the Bimhuis and Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ. Now for the public… we sincerely hope that the green light will shine for you soon! A packed hall will most likely be a utopia, but with a one and a half meter occupation we will also be very happy. In order not to let anyone miss anything from the competition, we have decided to at least stream all rounds live via our website and – who knows – also broadcast the final via radio. We will keep you informed!
