On Sunday 9 June, young Jesse Wienke will play at the Duif in Amsterdam. At 15:00, he will take his place behind the grand piano of Youri Egorov will play the programme below in this fourth edition of the Young Virtuosi series organised by YPF to give young talented pianists a stage, a chance to develop further and gain experience.

Jesse Wienke (2002) studies classical piano with Nata Tsvereli, harpsichord with Johan Hofmann and fortepiano with Paul Komen at the Prince Claus Conservatoire in Groningen.
In 2022, Jesse received 1st prize at the regional final of the Prinses Christina Concours. He also received the ABN AMRO Mees Pierson Prize. He took masterclasses with Ralph van Raat, Nino Gvetadze and Thomas Beijer, among others.
He also forms a duo with tenor Olivier Kemler. Jesse has given concerts on various stages. Among others in the small hall of De Oosterpoort, Gasthuis Leeuwenbergh in Utrecht and Oud-Poelgeest castle.
YPF Young Virtuosi Series In 2021, the YPF launched the Young Virtuosi series for YPF laureates and top young pianists, the ‘Young Virtuosi’, in which they are given the promised opportunity through concerts and master classes to further develop their craftsmanship and bring out the best in themselves. Concerts The concerts will take place in De Duif at Prinsengracht 756 in Amsterdam. During the six concerts, YPF laureates and top young pianists will play on the grand piano of legendary pianist Youri Egorov, who died in Amsterdam at the age of 33.
Master classes Master classes will also be organized again in 2024. These special ‘classes’ will take place in ‘MuziekHaven’ in Zaandam. Programming and further information about the master classes will follow shortly.
